R-Spondin-1 (Rspo1) is a part of the Rspondin family. Rspo1 plays a role as an activator of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway by acting as a ligand for LGR4-6 receptors. Rspo1 induces the onset of crypt cell proliferation and increases intestinal epithelial healing effect. Rspo1 is negatively regulating the TGF-beta pathway.
R-Spondin-1 Human Recombinant produced in CHO cells is a glycosylated monomer chain containing 233 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 25.6kDa. RSPO1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
The ED50, as calculated by the Luciferase induction in HEK-293 STF cells in the presence of Murine Wnt-3a is 24.7ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 4.0 x 10^4 units/mg.
