Specificity: Anti-Marburg Virus (Clone MARV-2903) has known reactivity for the viral antigen Nucleoprotein (NP) of several native strains. It is negative for reactivity to Ebola Virus and non-reactive with mammalian cells (IFA).
Background: Marburg virus is a rare but highly infectious and deadly RNA virus that belongs to the Filoviridae family, the same family as Ebola virus. Marburg virus causes a severe and often fatal hemorrhagic fever in humans and non-human primates, known as Marburg virus disease (MVD).
